Alice White is a poet who lives in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Originally from the United States (Kansas City), she lived in France for eleven years and holds an M.A. in English from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where she was awarded the King James VI Prize. She has received support for her work through fellowships and scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Brooklyn Poets, and the Hawthornden Foundation, and was selected for inclusion in Best New Poets 2023.
Her poetry has been featured on the podcast The Slowdown and has appeared or is forthcoming in publications including Arc, Blackbird, Black Warrior Review, Copper Nickel, The Ex-Puritan, The Fiddlehead, The Greensboro Review, Gulf Coast, The London Magazine, New Letters, New Ohio Review, North American Review, Pleiades, Poetry Ireland Review, The Poetry Review, Poetry Wales, Prairie Schooner, PRISM, The Rialto, Swamp Pink, and The Threepenny Review.
